Components
- 1 cup (tea) of uncooked pumpkin seeds (seeds from one pumpkin)
- Half a tablespoon of olive oil
- Add salt and ground pepper gradually to achieve the desired flavor.
Setup phase
- Use a spoon to scrape the pumpkin seeds away from the pulp and place them into a sieve.
- Thoroughly rinse the seeds under running water, using one hand to stir and remove any remaining pulp or fibers, which should be discarded. Allow the water to drain completely and then dry the seeds with a clean kitchen towel.
- Place a small frying pan over low heat. Once warm, add water and oil along with the pumpkin seeds. Season with salt and pepper to your preference and cook for approximately 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the seeds become toasted and crispy. Enjoy as a snack or sprinkle over a salad.
Suggestion: You can change the flavor of your snack by adding different spices such as paprika, cumin, turmeric, or a combination of salt and herbs.
