Components
- 1/4 cup of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon of tahini (sesame paste)
Ready state
- Place the condensed milk and tahini in a glass bowl (or any microwave-safe container) and stir thoroughly with a spatula.
- Set the microwave to high power and heat for 1 minute. Using a dishcloth for safety, carefully take the bowl out and stir thoroughly with a spatula until the mixture is smooth and creamy, resembling the consistency of spoonable brigadier. The brigadier may look clumpy right after microwaving—don’t worry, that’s normal. If it’s still too runny, heat it in the microwave for an additional 30 seconds.
- Place in a bowl and allow to marinate (or cool) before serving. It tastes great with chopped pistachios.
To boost income
To prepare brigadier in larger amounts, use the ratio of 1 part tahini to 4 parts condensed milk. Keep in mind that increasing the quantity will require a longer baking time to achieve the desired consistency.
Inside the pan
Put the condensed milk and tahini in a small, lightweight pan over low heat. Stir with a silicone spatula for approximately 3 minutes until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
