Dough for savory tart

Components
  • 3 tea cups of wheat flour
  • 150 grams of frozen butter cut into cubes
  • 3/4 taza (de té) de agua fría
  • A small amount of salt, about a pinch
Setup mode
  1. In a big bowl, combine the flour and salt. Incorporate the butter cubes, using your fingertips to blend until a thick mixture forms.
  1. Pour in the ice water and knead until the mixture is smooth. Shape it into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least one hour—this resting period makes the dough less elastic and easier to roll out.
  2. Take the dough out of the fridge and allow it to sit at room temperature for approximately 10 minutes before using. This recipe makes a 25 cm diameter pie (including crust and topping) and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
What should I fill it with?

Here are a few recipe ideas for using the pasta: cheese pie with caramelized onions and meat pie with beer.
